Women Physicians Day 2025: Empowering Women in Medicine

Join the HonorHealth Women Physicians Leadership Council (WPLC) for an evening dedicated to connection, inspiration and professional development on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025. This special Women Physicians Day event will feature distinguished trauma surgeon Molly J. Douglas, MD, as the Reed Family Visiting Scholar.

Dr. Douglas, who serves as clinical assistant professor of surgery and associate medical director for the surgical intensive care unit at the University of Arizona, Tucson, will present “No Fairy Godmother: Speaking up, showing up and leading when you are the one who brings your work to life.” Her experience spans trauma and acute care surgery, with notable work in clinical systems design, workflow optimization and the application of machine learning for clinical decision support.

In addition to this evening event, HonorHealth will celebrate Women Physicians Day on Monday, Feb. 3 with special lunches in the physician lounges across all campuses. Stay tuned for more details about these campus celebrations.
