Updated visitation guidelines in response to respiratory virus increase
Community transmission of respiratory viruses is steadily increasing in Maricopa County. Based on rising cases, and to create the safest environment possible, HonorHealth is updating respiratory virus precautions and visitation guidelines for our medical centers and ambulatory/outpatient facilities.
Effective Tuesday, Nov. 12:
- Meeting and gathering spaces are reduced to 75% capacity.
- Virtual meetings and trainings should be offered as options.
- Masks are required for:
- Team members in designated units and departments with immunocompromised patients.
- Team members that have not received the 2024-25 Influenza vaccine.
- Patients in emergency department and urgent care waiting rooms.
- Patients with respiratory symptoms.
- Symptomatic patients are required to wear masks in Primary Care waiting areas.
- Ensure child-size masks are available for patients aged 2 and up.
- Ensure respiratory hygiene stations have masks, hand sanitizer and tissues available.
