HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center has made the difficult decision to close our pediatric intensive care unit on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024. Following this date, pediatric intensive care services will no longer be offered at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. However, general pediatric inpatient hospital care continues to be available at this location.

Our dedication to providing our community with exceptional, high-quality maternity and pediatric care remains strong. HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center continues to offer maternity and inpatient pediatric hospital care to our community, including high-risk obstetrics, in-house OB hospitalists, emergency services, eight licensed pediatric beds, robust post-delivery resources and a Level III NICU, which offers advanced care for newborns of any gestational age.

HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center continues to:

  • Offer maternity and pediatric services to our community.
  • Provide an expert team to care for children, including child life specialists, pediatric hospitalists and pediatric-trained nurses and physicians.
  • Give children access to general pediatric treatments including, but not limited to, for respiratory issues including asthma, sepsis, and scorpion and snake bites.

We are grateful to our team members and physicians in the pediatric intensive care unit who have provided extraordinary care to our children and families throughout the years. We remain committed to finding job opportunities within the HonorHealth network for our impacted team members.
