On Sunday, Nov. 9, as part of the Epic upgrade go-live, we will transition from the current Lalani IV Insulin Protocol (LIIP) tool to the Epic IV Insulin Calculator.

The Epic IV Insulin Calculator is a native Epic feature integrated within the medication administration record (MAR), designed to streamline IV insulin administration and improve workflow efficiency.

What you need to know:

• Education: A clinical HealthStream module will be assigned soon for affected team members. Please ensure your teams complete this training before Sunday, Nov. 9.
• Practice environment: The Epic Playground will be updated for hands-on practice. Details will follow soon.
• Additional resources, including workflows and FAQs, will be shared as we approach go-live.
