On Sunday, Nov. 9, as part of the Epic upgrade go-live, HonorHealth will transition from the current Lalani IV Insulin Protocol (LIIP) tool to the Epic IV Insulin Calculator.

This change will take place in the following acute hospital care settings: ICU, perioperative, emergency, labor and delivery/couplet, and identified telemetry, PCCU, IMCU, BMT and MOSU units.

The Epic IV Insulin Calculator is a native Epic feature integrated within the medication administration record (MAR), designed to streamline IV insulin administration and improve workflow efficiency.

Additional resources, including workflows and FAQs, will be shared in the coming weeks to help ensure a smooth transition.
