On Wednesday, Oct. 25, the HonorHealth Women Physicians Leadership Council (WPLC) hosted a Mix and Mingle event featuring not only the Blue Zones Project of Scottsdale but the presentation of the inaugural Trailblazer Award.

The Trailblazer award was created to recognize a women physician within the HonorHealth network for outstanding and innovative practices that go beyond an already busy clinical schedule. We are proud to announce that Shalini Singh-Karnik, MD, a family and integrative medicine physician, is the winner of the inaugural award presented by HonorHealth CEO Todd LaPorte.

Thank you to our incredible nominees, Julie A. Wendt, MD, an allergist, and Brenda Moorthy, DO, breast surgeon, for all they do to improve their patients’ lives and better our community.
