- Where: Kiwanis Park, 95 W. Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ 85283
- Option: In-person or virtual participation
Why your participation in Tackle Trauma matters
- Trauma is the number one cause of death for people up to age 45 and the fourth leading cause of death across all ages.
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the leading cause of death from injury in the US and about one million people sustain a TBI each year.
- Your participation in Tackle Trauma directly supports trauma education, prevention and care — saving lives, reducing long-term disability and strengthening trauma response across Arizona.
Why this matters for physician and APP wellbeing
At HonorHealth, physician wellbeing is supported through LIFT (Leadership and Initiatives for Fulfillment and Thriving), a physician-led committee built by physicians, for physicians. LIFT focuses on reducing stress, strengthening connection and helping physicians thrive through initiatives such as peer support, leadership development, practice efficiency and wellness resources.
Events like Tackle Trauma reflect the same spirit. Trauma care is demanding, complex and emotionally intense. Coming together outside the hospital, alongside EMS professionals, care teams, patients and survivors, helps reconnect physicians to the deeper purpose behind their work.
