Earlier this month, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center expansion project. Watch a highlights video from the groundbreaking ceremony.

About the project:

The project will be completed over a two-year period in phases. The first phase will involve the construction of a new support services building, which will allow for a larger loading dock and dedicated entrance. A tunnel will also be constructed to lead from the building to Pavilion 1 to allow for easier and more efficient service delivery. Phase two will focus on the expansion of our surgical area with the addition of four new operating rooms. The third phase will be the construction of Pavilion 3, a four-story building with 166,000 square feet of space. Pavilion 3 will feature new patient beds and provide for the expansion and renovation of key departments such as food services, lab and pharmacy.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, with the entire project slated to be completed in 2025.
