Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we know that our physicians and advanced practitioners often struggle with mental health challenges but are reluctant to seek help due to concerns about how this can affect their careers. Fortunately, there is new legislation that protects us and keeps peer support confidential. Board and credentialing questions about mental health are changing in positive ways to help make it easier for us to seek the care that we need without fear of repercussions. Learn more about this legislation.
One of the best things we can do to support our own mental health is to connect with each other, share our experiences, and collaborate on how we can make our work better, more efficient and meaningful. Please come to our peer support/collegiality event on Thursday, June 8 to connect with each other and continue the work toward enhanced well-being at HonorHealth.
