Lifting of vendor moratorium
Sent on behalf of Supply Chain Governance Committee:
Physician, clinical and administrative leadership,
The Supply Chain Governance Committee has voted to lift the moratorium on requests for new products and vendors. The moratorium was put into place on Dec. 1, 2022 to help control rapidly escalating supply expense during a time of extreme inflation.
Though we are lifting the moratorium on the addition of new products, we are mindful that our organization continues to face significant financial headwinds. However, a core HonorHealth value is innovation, and we want our providers to have access to innovative technologies that drive improved value in care delivery. There will be a new level of discipline around determining if a new technology is needed at our network.
We request that physicians and perioperative leaders, in combination with service line and supply chain leaders, exercise a disciplined and thorough approach in evaluating new products.
Thank you for operating in a mindset of stewardship as we continue to navigate through this challenging financial environment.
