HonorHealth’s Bone Health Program has expanded its services at our Scottsdale and Glendale locations, offering comprehensive care for patients with osteoporosis and related conditions. In response to growing demand, referral workflows and diagnostic capabilities have been refined to improve efficiency and patient access.

DEXA scan capabilities

Our DEXA services utilize the Hologic Horizon W densitometer, offering:

  • Bone mineral density (BMD) testing
  • Vertebral fracture assessment (VFA)
  • Trabecular Bone Score (TBS) for evaluation of bone microarchitecture

These diagnostic tools support more precise fracture risk assessment and guide individualized treatment planning.

Referral pathways

To streamline patient access and improve provider experience, updated referral options are available:

  • DEXA scan referrals: Use the dedicated referral form or contact our bone health coordinator.
  • Bone health clinic referrals: For patients requiring comprehensive bone health management, including those with abnormal DEXA results or fragility fractures.
  • Epic workflow: Step-by-step guidance for ordering DEXA scans and bone health consultations.

Services at both locations

Scottsdale (Pima Center):

Glendale:
