Enhancing pre-admission testing with Qventus AI technology

Emma Breck      Epic and technology,  HonorHealth Update

HonorHealth is excited to announce the implementation of Qventus AI technology in pre-admission testing (PAT), designed to enhance patient care and improve surgical efficiency. The AI-powered platform is now live at HonorHealth Sonoran Crossing, John C. Lincoln and Scottsdale Shea medical centers, with plans for a network-wide expansion.

Transforming the pre-surgical experience

This partnership with Qventus addresses key challenges in pre-surgical care and improves several critical areas:

  • Operational efficiency: The AI system helps PAT nurses reach more patients and work more efficiently.
  • Proactive risk management: Potential issues are identified early, reducing avoidable cancellations.
  • Patient optimization: The system identifies patient optimization opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Enhanced patient experience: Patients receive high-touch guidance through pre-surgery texting technology.

The AI patient concierge advantage

The integrated AI patient concierge will act as a 24/7 digital companion, providing:

  • Updates throughout the surgical journey.
  • Patient intake gathering.
  • Answers to common patient questions.
  • Appointment coordination before and after surgery.
  • Reminders about fasting, medications and arrival times.
  • Guidance on what to expect before surgery.
  • Support for scheduling and connecting with pre-op teams.
  • Parking details and day-of-surgery tips.
  • Early identification of concerns so care teams can follow up.
  • Multilingual support (patients can text and receive replies in their preferred language).

Impact on your practice

For surgeons at participating medical centers, this technology offers:

  • Reduced avoidable cancellations through better patient preparation.
  • Comprehensive pre-surgical assessments for every patient.
  • Improved patient satisfaction through enhanced communication.
  • Extended PAT team capacity to serve all patients effectively.

Looking ahead

We remain committed to enhancing patient care and supporting our physicians and APPs through advanced technology. As the platform expands network-wide, we anticipate continued improvements in patient care and satisfaction.

Important note: The digital assistant is a support tool and not intended for emergencies. Patients experiencing medical emergencies should call 911 immediately.
