Coming this month: Elsevier’s Care Planning and Patient Pass tools
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, HonorHealth is launching Elsevier’s Care Planning and Patient Pass tools in Epic. This means smoother workflows, easier access to evidence-based content and better care coordination for your patients.
This integration reflects our commitment to clinical excellence, patient engagement and digital transformation — pillars of our HonorStrategy that drive every decision we make.
Some of the benefits of this new patient education solution:
- Physicians, nurses and educators will have access to curated, standardized resources directly within their workflows — saving time, ensuring compliance and strengthening the quality of patient teaching.
- With clear, consistent education materials available at every stage of their care journey, patients will feel more informed, more empowered and more in control to take the next step.
What does this mean for providers?
Patient Pass replaces Healthwise/WebMD as the platform for all patient education. You will be able to send patient education materials to your patients via email, text, MyChart as well as continue to print them.
Inpatient nurses will now be using Elsevier to develop Nursing Care Plans. You will now see an end of shift note in the “Progress Notes” section of Epic that summarizes the patient’s care each shift.
