The recent Arizona Breast Cancer Symposium brought together leading oncologists, researchers and healthcare professionals for an enriching day of knowledge sharing and collaboration. If you weren’t able to join us on Oct. 19, here’s what made this year’s event particularly noteworthy.  
 

Comprehensive coverage across the care spectrum 

This year’s symposium featured an outstanding lineup of experts who covered the entire spectrum of breast cancer care. From screening and prevention to advanced treatment options, each presentation offered valuable insights for clinical practice.  
 
Early detection and risk management 

  • Jared Berkowitz, MD, explored the critical role of primary care in screening and care coordination. 
  • Ashley DiPasquale, MD, shared expertise on identification and management in high-risk populations. 
  • Daniel Maki, MD, presented recent advances in breast cancer imaging. 

Diagnosis and treatment 

  • Denise Haynik, DO, detailed pathology evaluation standards and advanced genetic tumor marker. 
  • Brendan Curley, DO, discussed indications for neoadjuvant therapy.
