We’re thrilled to announce that on Thursday, Oct. 3, HonorHealth formally assumed operational ownership of the facilities listed below. As we embark on this new chapter, we’re equally excited to welcome 1,200 fantastic new team members to the HonorHealth family.
 

The inpatient facilities have been renamed to:

• HonorHealth Mesa Emergency Center
• HonorHealth Florence Medical Center

Multiple outpatient physician practices are also transitioning to HonorHealth for their operations:

• HonorHealth General Surgery – East Mesa
• HonorHealth General Surgery – Florence
• HonorHealth General Surgery – Tempe
• HonorHealth Heart Care – East Mesa

Steward Health Care declared bankruptcy in May and is divesting its properties around the country to various parties. A public announcement about the transition was made on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and since then, our teams have been working diligently to optimize resources and effectively integrate these locations into our network.
We’re excited for the opportunity to bring our HonorHealth brand of high-quality care to communities in the East Valley and Florence. Throughout this transition, our focus is to provide a safe and engaging environment to benefit all patients, physicians and team members.
