Recognizing our ICARE values in the exceptional care that is given to our patients every day!

ICARE: Victor Zach, MD, is empathy in action at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center

“Dr. Zach…I cannot express my gratitude enough for his care. Dr. Zach showed attentiveness and expertise in his assessments and treatments. He also personally came and talked with me multiple times, checking in to see how I was and showed a level of empathy not normally seen in physicians in critical settings. I have seen countless doctors in ICUs and ERs that will place orders or ‘treat’ patients without ever laying eyes on them and only going by what the nurses have reported. Dr. Zach was the opposite, making sure he personally checked on me and my progress only relying on his nurses that he obviously trusted to care for me while he was away. Dr. Zach’s bedside manner sitting and explaining to me what happened and what was going to happen helped to keep me at ease and rested. His patience in explaining procedures and results speak volumes to his character not just as a physician but as a human. I am truly grateful he was in the ICU that day.”

~A grateful patient

Thank you, Dr. Zach, for displaying empathy and compassion when treating patients!
