Coming in June: Epic upgrade

What’s new:
In June, we are going to make four quarterly upgrades to get back up to a more recent version of Epic.

Why it matters:
As you may be aware, due to the hyperdrive upgrade, we have not had an Epic upgrade since fall 2023.

I know many of us are not thrilled with upgrades or changes of any sort, but we look at each upgrade and every optional upgrade to ensure that the benefit of making updates is worth the discomfort of the change.

What’s next:
Many new and possibly exciting features will be available, and we hope you will find an improvement in your user experience.

If you would like to participate in any of the vetting sessions of which features to add or not add, please reach out, and we will include you in the meeting.

KLAS Arch Collaborative survey:

The survey is currently underway.

We realize the survey may seem long, but we vet each question and remove anything that we feel may not provide benefit or if those questions may have been asked in other surveys.

Why it matters:
We plan to use the outcome of the KLAS Arch Collaborate survey to guide our use of resources towards improving the clinician experience with technology.

The big picture:
The last time we did this survey was two years ago. We are planning on doing it yearly from this point forward.

Clinician Technology Experience Council

Another reminder that our Clinician Technology Experience Council (CTECH) meetings occur every other month on the third Wednesday at 5 p.m.

  • We are working on a signup form, but until that is live, feel free to email [email protected] to get the invite forwarded to you personally.

We intend on showcasing the efforts of informatics and IT on the clinician experience with technology and will use the KLAS Arch Collaborative survey as the guide.
