HonorHealth providers are often approached by NP students for rotation requests. We are developing a standardized process to help streamline and centralize the coordination of all requests. This will help ensure we aren’t overwhelming preceptors. Until the new process has been rolled out, we ask that all rotation requests be forwarded to Kim Olson-Gibbs, MD. She will then work with the appropriate parties to evaluate and place candidates where needed.

Our goals for the new rotation request program is to help:

• Increase retention of highly qualified candidates
• Ensure top-tier education for our internal nursing staff
• Improve recruitment of top-tier candidates into the Medical Group

Furthermore, we welcome any providers who are interested in teaching/hosting students to also please reach out to Dr. Olson-Gibbs. We are excited about this new program, and we’ll keep you updated on when it is ready to be implemented.
